What Happens When Teachers Explore the Community

CWI Institutes provide K-16 educators with training in Collaborative Ethnography, with an opportunity to practice their new skills in the field. Our goal is to train and inspire local teachers to use ethnographic techniques with their students through academically integrated Place Based Service-Learning projects. With new skills and experience in hand, students are then able to do powerful work locally, as they learn about and reflect back to their community the unique and diverse characteristics of their “place”. This is a crucial foundational step in deeper community building work. learn more: http://www.communityworksinstitute.org
